About Us - Q & A
Q1) What does UMOJA Connection provide that existing
organizations do not?

A1) Various organizations are created to address specific areas of
need and we strongly support those that have taken the initiative to
deliver the services needed.  UMOJA Connection, Inc. (UCI) was
established in 1994 to address the need of Unity amongst people of
African descent, thereby bringing Unity (Umoja) to people around
the world.  Unity, by our definition, is the desire to contribute to the
betterment of people of African descent and in-thereby-doing, the
betterment of humankind.

We promote love, peace, and unity by bringing families and
communities together through education and Cooperative
Enterprises.  This will be carried out by education at home, school,
church, and at work, by engaging active participation from our
youth, adults, and elders.

"To support a Connection of people that live together, love together,
and build together, in the spirit of the Most High, like no days before
have seen."
Q2) Who is responsible for making this Connection successful?
A2) Each of us will be responsible for contributing to the success of this Connection and the success will be directly proportional
to our engagement and contribution.
Q3) What is UCI offering the people?
A3) UCI is offering an alternative to organizations where the foundation is strictly political, economical, or religious.  UMOJA
Connection will operate with a combination and a balance of all three.  Our goal is to allow people the freedom to express their
will with the will of the people being the STAR (Light) to our future.
Q3) Where will UMOJA Connection be focused?
A3) UMOJA Connection will be focusing on energizing our community by bringing together people of diversified backgrounds to
leverage the synergy that each of us brings to the table.  Our prime area of engagement will be through the internet and social
media.
Q4) When will UMOJA Connection start to take action?
A4) UCI began to take action in 1994 when the "ground work" and the planning began.  Our next steps will be A) Execute our plan.
Q5) Why should I engage?
A5) Each person should want to engage if we see a deficit in our "Pillars" of Civilization: Education, Community, Health,
Economics, and/or Spiritual Life and allow each of us to be guardian of our Children's future.
Q6) How can I contribute and how will financial contributions be used?
A6) Each person can contribute now no matter how small.  Contribute to and communicate about the organizations that reflect
your vision of what we need to be doing, where we need to be going, when do we need to act, why do we need to act, and how do
we get there.

UCI Investment Connection is a Cooperative Economic Development program comprised of investment contributions and
donations.  Contributions received from individuals and donations from organizations, provides a means to leverage our
combined resources.  The UCI Investment Connection supports the economic development of each contributor, as well as, various
community enhancement programs.  Various loan and withdrawal options, approved by the Council of Leaders, will be made
available to individuals in cases of need.  The amount of financial contribution does not in anyway influence decisions of the
organization, which is here strictly, to carry out the "will" of the people.
